Matte painting #27
Here is an ocean/sky thing which I made from lots of photos and some original painting.

The hardest part was just getting a decent composition out of such random cloud photos and forcing them to cooperate with one another. Clouds can give one such fastidio. This was a good exercise to grade image quality and see how far I can stretch image resolution before it doesn’t work anymore. It’s also a good exercise to see how far I can be stretched before I don’t work anymore.

Thanks, kari! I’m not sure I’m able to call it a ‘process’ yet, but sometimes something emerges from the muck and mire of these images and actually ends up looking like something.
