Run, Johnny, Run!

Here is a storyboard sequence I finished recently for a TBA feature film. Had to rush through the drawings but I think many of them came out ok.

Strategy-wise I’ve finally figured out the best thing for me to do for this type of work is to just do the drawings on paper (I use only No. 5+ pencils), scan them and then apply shading in Photoshop. I’ve tried to draw them straight into PS, but I don’t think my pooter is fast enough to handle all the micro details I like — seems like there is a slight delay before my wacom pen “takes” at the beginning of each stroke, which is annoying as all get out.
